“Choice is born out of opposites, and the duality of the second chakra is forever challenging us to make choices in a world of opposing sides, of positive and negative energy patterns. Every choice we make contributes a subtle current of our energy to our universe, which is responsive to the influence of human consciousness. “ -Caroline Myss

Healing Sacral chakra with mindfulness and meditation
Healing the sacral chakra with meditation suggestion
Be in a place where you are undisturbed for about 30 min. Sit in a position where your spine is straight, and you feel a balance on the left and right side of your spine. This meditation is most powerful if you sit near water where you feel peaceful and safe. If you are doing this meditation in your house, make sure that you fill a bowl with water and place it in front of you as a symbol for the healing power of water.
If doing this at home, you need:
– A bowl of water
– A white or orange candle
– Some nice relaxing incense
In this meditation it is important to be completely relaxed before starting. We suggest a relaxation exercise before starting this visualization meditation. Lie on the ground or the floor and focus on the breath. With every breath you inhale compassion and peacefulness, and with every exhale you release whatever stress or anxieties that you are currently focusing on. Now breath into your feet. Feel that they are completely relaxed. Do the same with all your body parts. When you are ready and feel present with your body, sit on a nice flat ground next to the water. If you are home, sit in a chair or on the floor with your spine straight.
Close your eyes and breath slowly for some minutes. Imagine that calm waves wash over you and dissolves all fears and anxieties. Try to establish a wavy kind of rhythm in your breath.
Now imagine that the ocean is compassionately holding you on the surface of the water. You have land in sight, and you feel really safe and nurtured. The water is warm, and the sunshine is comfortable. The gentle waves are cradling you back and forth. You are becoming more and more relaxed. Notice how you are starting to feel more balanced. All the fluids in your body are working together in harmony.
Gradually when you are ready, hold the image of the sun going down into the horizon. The whole sky and water are filled with vibrant, warm and calming orange.
The scenery is changing. The sky is lit up by moonlight. How is your moon presenting itself? New, half, full? The light from the moon is caressing you while you are still floating in the ocean. Its silvery touch is harmonizing your emotions and the relationship you have with your family and close ones.
When you feel ready to complete the meditation, let your senses wander through the room. Stretch and breathe deeply.
This exercise is not easy if one is emotionally overwhelmed. If emotional overflooding is happening in you, focus solely on relaxing your body and breathing.
