Crown Chakra

“The crown chakra is located several inches above the head, but it is not connected. The crown chakra, also known as the thousand-petal lotus of light, references the planes of light, of enlightenment.” – Frederick Lenz
The Sanskrit word for the crown chakra is Sahasrara and can be translated to “Thousand petals”. The colour of the seventh chakra is violet, white, gold and clear light. The Sahasrara is located at the top of the head like a crown and holds your energetic experience of consciousness and universal connection.
Physically it is associated with the brain and the nervous system. It is our access and communion with a higher state of consciousness. With an open crown chakra, we can shed our limiting life patterns and stay present in whatever is. To stay present in this moment with all that is, connects us with the energy of uttermost clarity, wisdom and bliss. It is our bridge with the infinite.
Symptoms of an unbalanced Crown Chakra might be:
– Feeling disconnected to spirit and body
– Not being able to see beauty in this world
– Feeling spiritual adrift
– Being closed minded
– Lack of inspiration in life
– Lack of purpose and meaning in life
– Cynicism and apathy
– The need to sleep a lot
Still unsure if your Crown Chakra needs to be healed and balanced?
Ask yourself these questions;
– Do I feel connected with the divine energy of the universe?
– Do I recognize my own spiritual truth?
– Am I open for divine guidance?
– Do I embrace the beauty of this world?
Suggestions on how to heal the Crown Chakra

The most powerful way to deal with healing of the crown chakra is through meditation. This is because of the ties between the crown chakra and spirituality. Consistent meditation practice of all sorts is profitable.
Healing the Crown Chakra with color
Surround yourself with the color of indigo or white as often as possible, and reliably use crown chakra stones like Herkimer Diamond, Amethyst, and Clear Quartz.
Healing Crown Chakra through sound
Listening to sounds:
Listen: The crown chakra responds very well to the 936Hz Solfeggio frequency and singing-bowls in the B note. Listen to music that has one, or both of these components for about 20 min a day if you wishes to assist the crown chakra in becoming more balanced.
Sing: While meditating sing the vowel «EEEEE”
Chant: OM
Healing Crown Chakra with mindfulness and meditation
Meditation suggestion:
Preparation;
– Make sure that you are undisturbed for about 20-30 minutes
– This meditation is most effective outdoors, but if you do it inside, make sure that you have some nice fresh flowers in the room.
– If inside; light a candle, preferably a candle with the color of violet, gold or white.
– Start with doing a relaxation exercise. For deep healing to occur it is important to have a body that is relaxed and receptive.
– Sit in a comfortable position with your spine straight.
Breathe deep and slow. Inhale peace, compassion, Oneness. Exhale fears and anxieties. Place your attention on the root chakra. Feel the energy there for some breaths and give the root chakra time to activate and balance.
Now in turn, do this with every chakra. Stay present for some breaths in the sacral chakra, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and finally the crown chakra.
Imagine the crown chakra right above your head like a white radiant flower. Notice the golden glow emanating from the center of your crown flower. Really feel how far the flower stretches into your aura.
Visualize the tip of the petals. Imagine that little treads of light is connected from your flower to the Divine light of the cosmos. Establish a two way communication of light between you and the cosmos. Allow your petals to be open and receptive. Draw in the cosmic light through the golden center of your crown flower, and let it flow through your chakras all the way down through your root chakra and in to the earth. Now with power and love, declare your re-established connection with creation.
When you are ready to complete the meditation, close the petals of your crown flower, and open your eyes.
Write down your experiences if necessary, but don’t use up your energy on this experience by talking about it with others. Silence is the sound of the crown.
Exercise
Meditate on the crown chakra sign while you confirm that you are associated with the divine, that you are experiencing your divine nature, and that you are regarded and one with the universe.
